Grant is an Arkansas native and has been in the radio biz since 1993, working in Memphis, TN...Brinkley, AR...Newport, AR and Searcy, AR. He has utilized his talents in all formats of music radio and began hosting the "morning show" on Newstalk99 in 2005. The Wake-Up Call went live in February 2008 and has continued to grow in audience size and acclaim every day.

"This show was a first for me. I had never hosted a talk radio show, only music radio, so this was a big step and I hoped there was something on the other side," said Grant. "On the other side, I found listeners who were craving a truly local talk show that dealt with both local issues and the larger issues of the day and also let them speak their minds. So yes...there was something on the other side...those wonderful people who are listeners to the show and call in to the show and email me. I have met so many wonderful folks since starting this show and they are real and sincere. I am so thankful for the friendships and acquaintances I have made thru the show. It's an awesome feeling and a great responsiblity knowing that these people are listening every morning and making me and the show a part of their daily routine...getting their news, their weather, their information from us...THAT is what radio is all about!"
Grant grew up in a little place called Cavelle's Crossing in Woodruff County, graduated from McCrory High School, and went to Columbia School of Broadcasting in Memphis, TN. He and his wife Dona live in Searcy with their son Chandler. |
